SPA DESIGNS ‘UPTOWN MAITLAND’ MIXED-USE PROJECT

  (Maitland, FL)  Slocum Platts Architects designed “Uptown Maitland” – a new mixed-use project on the corner of North Orlando Avenue (Hwy 17-92) and Sybelia Parkway North in Maitland (next to Publix).  The developer is Atlantic Housing Partners of Winter Park and construction is being handled by CPG Construction, also in Winter Park.  Uptown Maitland construction began in January 2013 and is scheduled to be complete by December 2013.

The project consists of 3 stories of residential units designed for seniors over a 2-story parking garage and 2 floors of commercial and retail space fronting North Orlando Avenue (Hwy 17-92).  First floor retail space totals 3,344 sq. ft. with office space on the second floor totaling 3,256 sq. ft.

Ninety-three (93) residential units are planned, including one, two, and three-bedroom residences with one or two baths ranging in size from 742 sq. ft to 1056 sq. ft. Residents will be able to utilize and enjoy 5,600 sq. ft. of common area amenities, including:

1^st floor – Lobby, Leasing Office and Mail Room

2^nd floor – Library and Computer Room, Activities Room

3^rd floor – Clubroom, Banquet Kitchen, Pool Room and Fitness Room

4^th floor – Exterior courtyard with walking paths and water feature

 

Exterior design features a Neoclassical Style with a rusticated base on first and second floors, vertical towers with gable roof elements, concrete balustrades, and a combination of varying hipped and flat roofs with heavy cornice detailing.
